How
does it sail?
The 146 is the perfect family daysailer. It is a very
forgiving boat in that it is extremely stable and easy to sail. With a large
main and small jib the boat balances out well and the placement of the mainsheet
and tiller allow for single-handing or enjoying a sail with friends or family.
The 146 with its large cockpit is safe and easy to move around and the backrest
coaming makes it comfortable for all day cruising. Whether youre into
performance or just learning the ropes, the 146 can handle your needs.
Can I add a motor on it?
Yes, there is an optional motor mount that easily attaches
to the transom and can accommodate a 2.5HP outboard.
Can I get a trailer?
Sure, if you need to trailer your boat to and from
the water, we can offer a fully galvanized trailer set up for your boat.
If you need only to move it on the beach to the water, we suggest a beach
dolly. Both can be ordered from Hunter Marine.
What is the capacity?
The 146 can handle up to four adults of average weight.
What is the warranty?
Like all Hunter ACP boats, the 146 carries a limited 5-year hull and deck
warranty. All components and rigging carry their own warranty, usually
one year.
How long does it take to rig?
Initial rigging will take up to an hour, but then only 15 minutes will
be needed each time you want to sail it, if you leave the mast in place,
30 minutes if you need to step the mast. An innovative system allows for
quick and easy stepping and unstepping the mast. |
